The passion of traveling.

It was about time to change the text of this section. It hadn´t been changed for more than 10 years. Over the period of 10 years, we have changed, we became older, life has changed. We’ve lost close ones, we made new friendships, … life moved on.

Initially this part was about getting out of your comfort zone, enlarging your horizon, touching and feeling new cultures, making friends abroad. I used to love traveling by myself, alone, no one around me, to get lost abroad, and feeling myself imerged into the unknown.

Over the past 7 year,s my personal way of traveling has changed. First a woman jumped into my life, Vanessa, and we kept on moving forward together. 4 years later our little Valentina, stepped into this world. And again 4 years later, our little Alessio, opened his eyes for the first time. Our son was born this year in 2025.

The past years, we traveled a lot, even with our daughter, she’s already visited 28 countries, within her 4 years in this world. In 2024, we did a world trip, for a couple of months. We discovered new places and kept going back to “old” places.

Japan, the US and Thailand, have become places, that keep pulling us back, like a magnet. As for myself, Japan and the US, are the two places where I feel at home with my heart. And I love Thailand as well.

Instead of making lots of new friends abroad, we kept turning back to those friends, that we made years ago. We met up with our dear friends in Thailand, Greece, Japan, Portugal, Indonesia, China.. in the end, everything feels like a small world again. As we keep meeting & seeing each other, even though we live worlds apart.

Traveling to foreign places, keeps influencing your daily routines and decisions in life. Creating dishes that remind you of a different country, listening to music that you listened at a special moment in the past, … it always keeps messing with your travel memories.

Even 10 years later, afer I my first post in 2015, I didn’t get tired of traveling. Let’s go for another 10 years…if life allows it.
